WHAT IS TAPE-IN HAIR EXTENSION?
Tape-in hair extensions are the newest hair extension trend on the market. Tape-in hair extensions are thin tape wefts, 1 inch wide pre-taped hair wefts, that get “taped-in” in between your own hair in “sandwich” like bonds. It is the most requested hair extension method in salons worldwide. This method is 100% natural, requires no tools or chemicals, lasts up to three months and the hair is reusable! It takes less than an hour to apply an entire head with zero damage.
PROS & CONS OF TAPE-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?
PROS:
1. Fast to install, a full head application takes about 30 to 60 mins.
2. No heat or tools required for an application.
3. 100% natural, chemical free,
4. The tape is lighter than the metal links, so they are lighter overall on your head.
5. The safest method of hair extensions available, as the weight of the panel is spread out over a larger area, causing no damage to the client’s hair.
6. Panels lay flat on the head, virtually undetectable. Suitable for thin, fine hair. If someone hugs you or feels the back of your head they won’t feel bumps. Also, they are more comfortable to sleep on.

CONS:
1. The use of any silicone or oil based products directly on the adhesive may cause the panels to slip.
2. Need to replace the tape every two to three month.
HOW LONG WILL THEY LAST?
Tape-in hair extensions need to be reapplied every 8-12 weeks based upon how fast your hair grows. The extensions grow out with your hair allowing you to have fabulous hair while your hair grows out. The faster your hair grows, the quicker you will have to have them replaced. The hair can be used up to three applications with proper care.
I HAVE FINE / THIN HAIR, CAN I WEAR TAPE IN EXTENSIONS?
If you have fine or thin hair, tape in extensions are one of the best hair extension choices for you. Clips will be too bulky and may cause balding long term on those who have super fine hair. With tape ins your hair is protected from damage and breakage. If you have thin/fine hair, your hairstylist should use the single sided tape in method for your tape in application. The single sided method is applying one tape bond and one piece of single sided tape, forming one bond, instead of applying two tape wefts together. This places less weight on your hair and allows you to enjoy extensions without the risk of damage.
CAN I COLOR MY HAIR EXTENSIONS?
Yes you can. Because our hair is 100% human hair all collections can be dyed.
DO I NEED TO USE HEAT TO APPLY THE HAIR?
No, our method is 100% natural and no tools are needed. We do not advise using heat or a flat iron to apply the extensions.
TIPS FOR GETTING THE MOST FROM YOUR RCLHAIR TAPE-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS
1. Before applying the tape-in hair extensions wash your hair with shampoo, and dry it. The adhesive tape will bond better if you don’t use conditioner on the hair.
2. For each “sandwich” of tape-in hair extensions; before you apply the second (i.e. on-top) piece, move out of the way any loose strands from the thin layer of your hair, that had not stuck to the first (i.e. underneath) piece. This technique will help the extensions to last longer, and endure being washed and blow-dried., by creating a strong bonding of the two pieces.
3. Our tape-in hair extensions are designed to easily enable the 4cm wide wefts to be divided into smaller widths - 1cm or 2cm, if so desired, simply by tearing through the ultra thin wefts at the pre-marked notches. The narrower widths are very useful when applying extensions near to the natural hairline area.
